The park 4 preserves endangered species and promotes eco-tourism. It falls partly in Golaghat District and partly in Nogaon District.
One can reach by air to Rowaria airport in Jorhat and then by road to Kaziranga. Taxis are available at the airport. Guwahati is 217 km and a 6-hour drive away.
Quality accommodation is available. Assam Tourist Lodge, the Inspection Bungalows of Forest Department can be availed of. You may also try out the more luxurious Wild Grass, which is privately run wildlife property providing excellent jungle hospitality.
